I first heard about Gold Tooth Tony's Detroit Pizza while reading an article about the top pizza places in Houston. I had it bookmarked and glad I finally got to try it. I was at a friend's place, and he was hungry. He talked about a pizza place but couldn't remember the name, so I Yelped "pizza" and read out the names. It was Gold Tooth Tony's. I called, and he placed an order for Detroit Pep and Houston The Marg. Detroit is deep dish square slices, and Houston is round like pan pizza. They said thin crust but no. That's not thin crust. Delicious though! We picked it up. I realized this Heights location was next to Amy's Ice Cream which used to be the former location of Fat Cat Creamery. It was ready in 20 minutes. Small, shared lot. They also have locations in Montrose and Bellaire. I love the vibe of their pizza boxes. Smaller pizza sizing but loaded with cheese and toppings. Each slice is filling. Detroit Pep (8"x10") - It's like an elevated Little Caesar's. Foreal. Deep dish. Better than Star Pizza. The crunch when you bite in the crust is so good. I love the overload of pepperoni and some extra marinara on top. Houston The Marg (10") - Amazing flavor. The basil is cut really thin and sprinkled on top. The golden and red cherry tomatoes are blistered. It's everything. This isn't your average margherita pizza. I love this twist on it. The extra bread at the crust should be a little thinner though. It is really more like focaccia. Good but filling with all that bread. They also offer lactose free with vegan cheese and gluten free crust options with an upcharge. I want to try their other food besides pizza. Maybe dine in next time. I definitely would order pizza from here again. You should try it!

Tony's had been recommended to me. I saw "Sebastian's Big Idea" on the menu and asked about it. The cook/cashier said that it was rather polarizing but that if I liked Spam I would probably like it. Togarashi roasted pineapple, Spam, furikake seasoning. It was laugh out loud good and is now on my pizza hall of fame. I felt as if a Japanese chef had tried a Hawaiian pizza, gotten inspired and gone home to fix it. Spam and pineapple were in nice tiny pieces and all the flavors were beautifully balanced. Fantastic crust, crispy on the bottom and a chewy, yeasty crumb around the edges. As perfect as it was I will still try something else next time, as I believe everything on Tony's menu is likely to be good.

Wow! Gold Tooth Tonys has been on my list for the longest and I'm not sure why it's taking me this long to try it. Friday night I felt like pizza. I didn't want something from my usual restaurant rotation and for some reason GTT popped into my head. I ordered via DoorDash because I was tired and being lazy. The pizza was SO GOOD. Like finger licking, buttery, perfect crust, etc. the delivery was fast. The pizza was still hot upon arrival and it's now going into my pizza rotation. The pickle dip and home made ranch made my night. I can't speak to the ambiance because I dined out but if I ever go inside I'll update this review. If you're a pizza person, check them out.

I'm visiting from Scotland and GTT is easily the best pizza in Houston. Service and quality of the highest standard. Very laid back vibes will remaining professional.

We had to check out Gold Tooth Tony's after hearing all the buzz about their Detroit-style pizza, and wow, it did not disappoint! The place is small but super cozy, with a friendly vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff was awesome, walking us through the menu and even sharing the backstory of how Tony got into the pizza game--so cool! We went all-in and customized our pizza with aged brick cheese, arugula, pesto, olives, pepperoncinis, and the star of the show: halal pepperoni. Total game-changer! To top it all off, we added their special sauce, and let me tell you--it was chef's kiss. The pizza was absolutely incredible, and now we're already planning our next visit to try more from the menu. If you haven't been yet, Gold Tooth Tony's is a must-try for pizza lovers!

Great spot in Houston for Detroit pizza. If you've never had it before, it's known for its rectangle shape, an almost focaccia-like light fluffy bread, and the crispy cheese crust. We tried the hunger force, based off a recommendation from the cashier, and I thought the ingredients blended together so well and each bite was both perfectly light and crunchy. The ricotta was so light and creamy as well. My only small wish is that they let more of the cheese crisp up on the edges but besides that, the pizza was delicious. Gold tooth's is good for to-go, like an order ahead and pick up vibe. There isn't much seating inside, although there are some benches outside where we enjoyed our pizza. Pizza came out super fast!

Great Detroit pizza! We got the supreme and the pepperoni and both were hot, fresh, and super flavorful. Loved how crispy the crust was! I would ask for extra sauce to dip it in. Service was fast. We just ate everything in the car and the pizza didn't even make it home lol!
